So for those of you who don't know, I got hacked by steam support just over a month ago, I wrote them a ticket which I got loads of bullshit copy-paste replies to. After a while the ticket was suddenly closed without any notification so naturally I reopened it and got the same shit copy-paste replies. However, a few days ago an actual human read my ticket but the action to that was that they wanted my PP details and they restricted my account so that I can't trade, chat, use the community market, use/delete/organize my TF2 junk...nothing...but I was just checking what all they have blocked and got this message: What are they actually doing other than collect our money..?! EDIT PS. I use my alt for now.
Does steam hack peoples accounts? I've been hacked once. Not telling where/why/how they did it, but when I found it out, the place was filled with (don't want to tell what kind of) porn. *Another proof that Valve can't count to three.
Long story "short", me n my firned created accounts at the same time, they got mixed up, I ended up with his acc and he stopped playing, now almost 2 months ago he wanted to come back to steam so he redeemed "his" account which was the one that I have...note that he wrote to steam support that he hasn't used his account for several years but steam ignored that...anyways, he figured out that we had mixed the accounts so he wrote to me on fb and I got it back. I have been trying to get steam to confirm that the acc now is completely mine so that the old "original code" wouldn't work and that's where we are now...
That date is no random date ! It's called "The Epoch" because it's the time from which Unix machines count seconds. Guess they left the time for suspension lift blank so it auto-set itself to 0, which translates to January 1st, 1970 ^^ Linky-link : <a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time</a>
rofl, would you please tell me where on this planet there is a timezone that is in 1970? I'd like to return to my own past.
YAY I finally got a reply ...even tho that was some bulls**t about steam guard...this so called support is a joke, we waste loads of money on them and what do we really get in return...
+1 Encountering Steam Support to get a 10€ Item back due to a missunderstanding. Valve logic: Pay me with *insert amount of € here* and I won´t help you to get your silly item back. Took them weeks to actually get the problem.. But thanks to them I now know how to take screenshots *full load of sarcasm here*.
I finally got a confirmation that they have made "internal notes" on my account so that the original case and code is now invalid. It only took them 1month, 3weeks and 1day to do this and under that time they closed the thread twice...
