Srsly... Which stupid guy construated that map? -_- 1 engie and 1 heavy and you cant win... PLs remove that from the MAp - List
Maybe instead of raging, you can explain (calmly) why you think this map is bad and how this map can be improved. With a post like this, we can do nothing.
Okay sorry, it's the map where are many containers in the mid (no cappoint) and under each spawn there is a entrace to a "cave" where you just need 1 or 2 engies and a demo (almost all the time in case) and the hale will lose intantly without raging... and with raging u wont kill the smart engies anyway.... so please remove that cave or something like that...
Some time ago I worked on a (hopefully) better version of magazine. This version is yet to be tested. Would changes as stated below have any influence on the gameplay of the map? Changed "tunnel section" Entances and exits are only accessible while crouching; other parts are higher (you will be able to walk without crouching in them) Added a control point Moved the full healthkit down onto the crates and changed it into a medium healthkit Reduced the amount of ammoboxes; removed the ammo in the engineer camp containers Other than that, do you have any other complaints or do you want to see something else changed.
And why do I never hear people complaining if the map is very easy for Hale himself? Because I don't see improvements for that lately...
If we don't get feedback, changes are likely not to happen. Make a list of unbalanced maps and what changes the map should need. That way, map makers have an overview of what needs work and what doesn't.
+1 Those added changes IMO will make the map easier for hale. Because some engineers or heavies camp the vent and let snipers use the huntsman taunt or spy backstabbing them. Also hales like Gaben get stuck in the vent when they rage.
I know, but I'm busy enough for myself with the Trade Section and I don't play that much anymore on the VSH servers. If I have some time in the near future I will see what I can do.
Also those windows are a problem. You can jump above them but you never get trough them. but I think making tunnels larger should do the trick
I've managed to trap hale many times as a hoovy with a medic buddy on this map : All i had to do is waiting at the entrance of the vent for hale to come while the medic hide behind the crates. When hale come, i crouch and go into the vent while shooting with the shotgun (for the health) and once hale is in the vent with me, the medic come and uber me...It become then a rape fest for hale as he lose at least 10k during the uber...so if other ppl join, hale lose tons of health :| Don't see how the map could be improve tough :?

Looking at the modifications he listed I think that pretty much improves the map.
True, we need more active map makers .. i have 1 extra guy now but he's busy with a new map (a new map is also good though) but we need some bugfixes on some maps.
You gotta remember though that some mappers already toke on a project.. if another mapper just takes it off his hands without consulting him at all it would be just plain rude.. and that's simply not nice.. Most projects that need fixing already got another mapper on it (Depending on how much projects one mapper has) It can take a while until a project is done but it's being worked on. Talking to a mapper related to a map (Mapper that toke on the project) is the way to improve it tbh (or responding in echo's thread) But if you keep saying we need more active mappers I kind of think we have them active just (In my opinion) Darkness toke on too many projects.. think he could drop a few or tell someone else to take it on so it gets done quicker. But this isn't neither thread nor section to discuss this type of thing so .. just keep in mind darkness already said he's working on it for a while now.. give him time (all great things come with time) See ya
I already made the changes, I think its even uploaded to the server aswell. Check if the map is there, and if it is, please playtest it. I've got around 3 maps ready for playtesting on the server, and work on 2 or 3 other maps is almost done aswell. I've been really busy with school as of lately, so I haven't had the time to get on tf and play the maps. To sum it all up: Maps on the server which need testing: vsh_magazine_lz_b1 vsh_towertop_lz_b4 vsh_twinfalls_lz_b2 Maps which are almost completed: vsh_warehouse_lz_b2 vsh_turbine_lz_b3 vsh_military_medieval_lz_b6 vsh_poletaa_lz_b1 @ Shadow, you might be right about the fact that I've taken way too many maps at some certain point. Feel free to speak to me if you want to take over some maps (like crevice *hint hint* ).

Ah snel, this is maybe the wrong thread but you said u need more map fixers? I'm kinda interested in becoming one.. i just need to learn how because i love improving / helping the community If you just give me a youtube tutorial video or anybody could explain me how i'd be very happy
