The reason they didn't care bout the car was this :

I understand your concerns.Good news is since this Z06 is a pre production test model
it was destined to be destroyed anyway for liability reasons.
All manufacturers build about 100 to 300 vehicles of each model for this purpose.

So the car was going to be caned anyways.
