    Hey everyone,

recently I had some problems with power supplies.
After one year my power supply¹ caused my computer to restart after starting a game.
It was a bit hard to figure out what the problem was so I bought a cheaper power supply² to test it out.
The installation was very easy but it was way too loud and annoying so I decided to buy another one...
Finally I found a quiet and working power supply³, the only bad thing is that it has very short cables so
the cable management was a pain.

¹ Antec High Current Pro 750W (80 Plus Gold) ~160€
    ² Corsair CX Series 750Watt Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX/EPS Netzteil (CX750M) ~78€
³ Be quiet! Pure Power CM BQT L8-CM-630W PC Netzteil (630 Watt) ~82€

Don't be shy to share your experience (manufacturer, price, lifetime ...)

    Cheers :)

You cant really go wrong with a PSU that is rated well across the internet.

My personal experience is that my Be quiet! is lasting for 6 years or so now, and still works fine. So those are pretty amazing.

    My current Power Supply is a Seasonic M12II EVO 750 WATT <a class="postlink" href="http://www.seasonicusa.com/M12-EVO-Edition.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.seasonicusa.com/M12-EVO-Edition.htm</a>
My previous one was a Corsair 650W one.
    Both never failed me.

The error a lot of ppl make is taking a very light one while they forget that the first year or 2 they lose a lot of efficiency. Starts with say 85% or 80% and ends often on 75-70%.
If that is just below what the computer needs, and with dust in the fans etc it pulls more, things go Crash To Desktop, or Emergency Poweroff's etc.
