I disagree with his top 5 for both best and worst games of 2010, the only thing i would agree on is Amnesia. I cant beleive he didnt like bioshock 2, yeah it wasnt as good as the first game.
Bioshock 2 has "Milking the Moneycow" written all over it. I really love Bioshock 1. Heck, it's probably one of my favorite games I've ever played. It's a game that created a very immersive world, intruiging characters and good story especially with a closure (no matter how cheesy the closure is.). Then Bioshock 2 came along and messed everything up. From the very beginning on this game feels unnecessary. They had to try hard to cram in another story and that's pretty much what you feel. There are plotholes larger than mooncraters in this game; the biggest of all being "Who the fuck is Sophia Lamb and why the hell have we never heard of her?" She was supposedly Ryan's nemesis, but wasn't that already Fontaine? And why was she never mentioned in the first game? Then there are also other small things like a church in a city that was built to be free of religions, how you, as the prototype Big Daddy, survived that long in this coma etc. Gameplaywise it's fine. The only really gripe I had was probably the whole saving little sister thing being incredibly tedious. But after a while I just got sick of the game. It felt like a terrible parody of the first game, that stomped on everything I liked about it. Stil looking forward to Biosock Infinite. After all, they had to do some actual work for that title. Also Just Cause 2 is a very enjoyable game. Didn't expect it to be the Nr. 1, but on the other hand and does actually deserve it.
Just cause 2 is awesome I completed the "story" in about 15 hours. And have since clocked up another 53 hours just messing about with mods, and im still only at 42% completion.
I had expected TF2 somewhere there... I mean you can hardly say it's the same game it was end of 2009... Were there even any hats then? I don't know, can't keep track.
He doesnt like multiplayer games at all though, it only got a fleeting comment when he reviewed the orange box.
in his Extra Punctuation, a wall of text he writes for the escapist magazine, he stated he loves TF2. However he hadn't played it since the medic update (this was written in 2010). However the sentence "I <3 TF2" was clearly there
