Re: AFS Summer League Technically all of them can screw us over if we don't pay attention. With people going on holiday etc we won't have a stable lineup nor do we have regular practice with the same lineup so we could get screwed over by that. 81. team brought in a new Soldier from a Div3 team, they just need 1 more Scout. Could present a serious threat depending on what their lineup is and what ours is.
Re: AFS Summer League Updated with the result from our first match: Evil Empire HeadQuarters 0 - 6 Lethal-Zone Green
Re: AFS Summer League gj I was rehearsing (google transalate ftw) a drumming act (30 min full drumming, 3 acts right after each other) for this weekend.. Bhaaa that sucks in this weather :| Luckily we only did it once, next time is for the public already
Re: AFS Summer League Sometimes, you can even be faster than their demoman. If you dont screw up the jumps ofc
Re: AFS Summer League Been a while but that's because of teams/people being far less active thanks to real life etc. Dunno why those nerds keep going to barbecues etc while they could/should be playing but hey. Our second official was against Drunken Angels Unstoppable. Only playing our second match now when we should've done our 5th already paid off to an extent, where everybody belongs in the division is roughly shaping up. Drunken Angels Unstoppable was firmly at the bottom of the table with both matches lost, and we made sure not to disappoint them. If they want to hold on to the last spot that much, we'll give it to them. ^^ First map was cp_coldfront, a commonly despised map in the ETF2L community. Lack of practice and paying attention showed, they took 1 round for a total score of 6-1 to us: Next up was badlands. All warmed up now and on very familiar ground we steamrolled to an easy 5-0 victory: Overall we are now third in the division. Original post updated with table specifics.
Re: AFS Summer League Just finished against Vier. They're first for a reason, and we were expecting a tough fight. Maps were cp_freight_final1 and cp_granary. Neither of which are our strongest maps, and it showed. Freight was up first, and while it was a very even fight for a long time with nasty Kritz shenanigans from Vier we eventually had to yield as Vier was simply the strongest side: Granary went better. Blitzing out to a 2-0 lead for us Vier very slowly turned it around to a 2-2 with 4 minutes left with the same Kritz fun. With a draw visible just outside our reach we went all out and got a 3-2 lead with 2 minutes left. A wipe in mid almost got it back to 3-3 but AFS Helping Hand Crzfst suicided onto the Medic and got him, slowing them down just enough for us to whip out the double Heavy and Engineer to hold on to the last point and thus the victory:
Re: AFS Summer League Should i mention, as a guy with more experience than you, that pcw doesnt matter. Pcw's are for trying new stuff, new tactics, etc. You have the chance to play with guys who didnt warm up well and etc. But on officials its otherwise - everyone warms up, puts his serious face on and uses their best strategies. My point is that pcw is totally different from official. That's why you shouldnt judge for a team from their pcw results.. Officials are what matter
Re: AFS Summer League Tonight's official vs RedStars just ended. They could field their main lineup, we couldn't (again). Shit map and a map we haven't practiced much yet: cp_freight_final1 and cp_gravelpit. Got a quick 2-0 lead on freight_final1, Redstars fought back to 2-3. We made it 3-3, and eventually it ended 3-4 for them: Gravelpit, not much to mention here. They took the first round, we took the second round and the golden cap. Final score is 2-4 to them.
Re: AFS Summer League Give me my old freight back Had some really good moments in the first 2 rounds though.. shame that they came back
Re: AFS Summer League Well it's allright but there's just way too many trains. And the 2nd and last point from the old freight were way better.
Re: AFS Summer League Well Vier kept up their winning streak, beating RedStars 6-0 meaning they have 33 points and there's no way we can catch up. Vier is confirmed Div4F champion of the AFS. On the positive side, RedStars is now 1 point ahead with 1 match more played, and we can still take 2nd place quite comfortably.
Re: AFS Summer League Week 6: Epx^ vs LZ.war Green Scouts: Lucky Luke and Contra Soldiers: Natural and Buffalo Bill Demoman: Fallen Medic: Kyur Maps: cp_coldfront & cp_gullywash_imp3 Coldfront ended up taking an hour because of people constantly crashing and timing out. Got 2-1 behind because of that, got back to 2-2 with 4 minutes left and capped the last point with 12 seconds left on the clock for a 3-2 victory: Gullywash took half an hour, 10 minutes of which spent waiting for the crashed people to come back. Not much of an even match here, with us taking home the 5-0 victory in 20 minutes: Just 2 points short of a guaranteed 2nd place now!
Re: AFS Summer League Week 7: Xterra vs LZ.war Green Scouts: Lucky Luke and Nmx Soldiers: Natural and Buffalo Bill Demoman: Fallen Medic: Kyur Maps: cp_granary & cp_gullywash_imp3 Gullywash isn't worth the mention. Things went shit and we raged. Lost 5-0. I blame lag and lack of warmup. Granary went a lot better and we won a comfortable 5-1 giving an overall score of 3-3. This score means we have 26 points which makes for a solid 2nd place!
