havent been online since the halo's got unlocked but players who abide those rules are ridiculous and should probably deserve some punishment themselves

i didnt agree/approve of the idle program because well.. simply put their still just hats were talking about and i figure with my playtime and Valve's history of giving into the community, we will get them anyhow(still say their gonna go payable, mark my words!)

now no idle player really bothered me with the program, so there's no reason to go further then "not using the program myself" and leave them be, why even put energy in anything beyond that

now i hear people allready trying to enforce you to wear/own a halo to get healed? the fuck are those idiots thinking..

Well there's another way to get some sort of satisfaction from halowearers... without even treating them differently! The answer is: Custom skins!

    Get it here. :)

Seriously? Heh... I knew it could happen the other way that you don't get healed for having a Halo, but not getting healed for not having a Halo? Tz... I don't even have the Halo equipped for every class because it either looks retarted (Engi, Soldier) or is just not comfortable (Spy).

Blubb... in the end that were most likely some trolls, who're just using this whole drama to annoy the fuck out of people.

I say we slince or kick players that whine about people wearing halos or people being cheaters. Valve should make a statement taking back the term cheater and idlers should take their loss of the halo. Nobody should be judged by wether or not they have/wear the halo, and everyone who does should just foad. (especially voice/chat spammers because I really cant stand those)

So one question I would like to add:
I suppose that voice/chat spamemrs can be muted/gagged/silenced as usual, but what action should an admin take if people very clearly neglect to help (non)halo wearers? For example, if a medic doesnt heal you and says: you dont have a halo so you are a cheater. Should admins take action? slap, kick, even tempban? whats going to be our policy?

nah imo that's kinda harsh to kick/ban them just because they won't heal someone, maybe a slap with 20 dame or so just to get his attention and make a point of how big a lame douche he is. maybe put the plugin back on to strip the halo in all? and for the mic/chat spammers gag/mute cause i allways end up saying stuff and 5min later an other guy starts all over again. and yes Valve realy should strip the CHEATER tag... realy find this a stigma on good players who did (allmost) nothing wrong and just wanted to get more out of the game (wanting a hat for cosmetic reasons = not cheating)

I understand what you mean, but it's not the way Valve wanted to give you the hats by using a external Program or something..

Valve wants that we get them through just playing the game, by just having fun and if you're lucky you might get a hat..
So hats are actually like mini lotteries, you have chance to get them..or not.
They're meant to be RARE items..not stuff that you get easily in your hands.

Looking at the first days from the system, I wouldn't mind the idling since the New unlockables were Rare while the older unlockables were unlockable through achievements. But now people are idling for stuff which are supposed to be rare and can be achieved by just playing.

P.S.: I only have the Batter's helmet and I don't even like to play as scout.
(I'm not counting the halo as hat since almost everyone has it)
But I'm not playing the game for hats..I'm playing to have fun.
Hats are like you said: Cosmetic.
You get one, you're happy(or not), put it on and play further without thinking about it or seeing it much.
If this was about Unlockables not being able to get easily, while you should.. I would be pissed too. But hats are hats, they're supposed to be rare and being able to get them through playing..not idling. With Idling you're basically fooling the system(with that program or the idle servers) that you're playing.
    just my 2 cents.
