it amazes me that noone, except me, said GTA4 It's an epic game, awesome graphics, the gameplay, just a great game!
Fail, dude someone did metion it. My PC Top 5 of 2008 1. Fallout 3 2. Far Cry 2 3. Dead Space 4. Mass Effect 5. Call of Duty: World at War
and I didn't to be honest I've never played any GTA game longer than half an hour  never really liked the concept of the game
you mean shooting and killing innocent people doesnt appeal to you? not even in the holiday season? ^____- i only really liked the first 2, great radiostations and just silly as fuck, like farting and doing the Elvis taunt etc the splat sound a victim made when you ran him over was just too funny, in a way Saints Row is more in line with that silly nature then the new GTA games GTA4 was cool because of the world, first time riding into Time Square etc thats just cool the way the cars handle semi realitically, good intense gunplay story was ok and it had some great charakters (Brucey!) but in the end its a game that barely has any intresting gameplay to offer aside from the shoot outs wich make it just a very very fancy game of tag/hide and seek i remember my mom seeing me shoot an innocent guy in the face thru his carwindow, like very close up blood splattered all over the place and his head like laying on the horn afterwards the sheer brutality like that was quite shockin to her and in the end realising how far gaming has come with that kinda detail gave me quite a fright aswell tbh cuzz what is GTA gonna be a decade from now?
A budget game? I think they have gone as far as they can with graphics (ok, they will improve but not amymore on a large scale compared to the past), the future of games lies innovativeness that's my view (games like Little Big Planet, Mirror's Edge, Tom Clancy's Endwar, ... come to think of it I haven't played any of these games yet but they're very popular)
well Little Big Planet is so lame that is like best thing for ps3 so far (and I don't even have ps3  ) I certainly gonna buy ME, it looks great and a whole new idea of playing where you can chose to use weapons but also avoid all combat. love it! another game that will be good is Tom Clancy's Hawx a realistic combat flitgh game where you wil be helping captain Mitchel from Tom Clancy's GRAW
both Mirror's Edge and Endwar are huge flops btw, they got good reviews but thats about it, and reviewers dont know shit most of the time i played and finished Mirror's Edge in about 4 hours and altho it has a semi good basis for a new concept the level design just isnt build up to it after about 2 or 3 levels of 8 in total you've seen and done pretty much anything the game has to offer gunplay is shallow and just plain unintresting, not that it actually bothered me allot cuzz i wasnt expecting a shooter but in retrospect seeing how empty and devoid the game is in the variation/difficulty department i think they should tought this game a bit thru and then i havent even brought up the story..
