Re: db_baseball! Its just my crappy pc... I can run TF2 but fps is 10-20... so no go if you want to play... Can barely join Dodgeball....
Re: db_baseball! wimp! I played with 9-15 fps for months "waar een wil is, is een weg" but I do hope you will get a new comp quick...
Re: db_baseball! what kind of computer is it anyway... on my old pc I can get like 50 fps and thats a Pentium 4, 2.4 ghz, 1.5 GB ram, NVidia Geforce FX5200
Re: db_baseball! You know I have to say, my map is quite a success even though I personally don't enjoy it much (because of the lightning issues). Gives me enough motivation to work on the next version
Re: db_baseball! Started to work on b2.. here's a tease http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/8408 ... b20000.jpg Trying to give the idea of a backyard baseball field, behind some tall buildings. You don't see any roads or city elements because it is just a dead area - a backyard. Having some issues with the clipping on the curving wall, hope I will be able to fix it.
I decided to just release the b2 in its current state even though I'm not so happy with the lighting and clipping, but what can you do. It's important not to be too perfectionist. Root admins, please upload the new version of this map - http://www.sendspace.com/file/lziy3d You may also want to delete the older version (db_baseball_b1).
it is, you're playing it right now ^^ Few comments on the map: map looks good, buildings textures are really nice. Lighting is off. Your lightsource is somewere on the side if you look at the shadows. Try to move the lightsource ( sun or something) to the sky , so it's straight down or in a slight angle.Would be nice to see the buildings cast some shadows too for realism. If too drak tou can always add some other lightsources
Thanks. The lighting is shitty, I know it is. I don't want anything too bright in the map because it blinds people when they're trying to reflect rockets. I tried to put the sun in the skies, it was too bright In b3 there will be better lighting though, I hope. Overall my conclusion for b2 is - it could've been worse.
