i have make an dodgeball map whit an cp in the middle so as they cap (own the cp) then spawn more rockets (db = multi) but only as there 4 players = in the server then is capping not good! and eumm map (...) havs an accelerator in the middle and you can orbit the nuke but in seconds the nuke explode! so you must go to middle to speed it up . but OLMSTED nobody did it! and that an good map to play/see(failing!) and relentusnukes is great only it haves now an bug it spawns not enny more at the nuke but at the (tessela)..
What, its still not dead? KILL IT! never! i'll finish it, even if it takes forever! anyway, I've been working on it again, and have added some moar ceiling, it's not the final version, but first I wanted to start with the lighting. I mean what do you prefer: A nice detailed ceiling with a pitchblack map or crappy lighting? OR a well lit room with a not realistic looking ceiling? So i'm basically experimenting with the lighting till it looks fine. *Note this isn't the only ceiling i've added, i've also altered the "entrance' part but it's still too dark there to make a photo. I also heard spies keep stealing your camera over there.
the ceiling looks good now. just an idea from a dodgeball point of view : can you put an invisible wall from the center of the map to the ceiling to stop airblasting. by this i mean extend your diagonal mini-wall with an invisible wall to the ceiling. and i like pablo's idea of having a dynamic map
I've already implented that I would love to have that dynamical stuff, but i have no idea how to do it!
Look up some tutorials for breakable windows for css, there are some good ones which explain the amount of damage needed for them to break, This will also work for other materials of course. This one:
eum use the ( bouw lampen) and then use an trigger and ( funk_dustmotes) in the licht beam is like of there is dust in that area ( do coler yello/orange) and maybe for look an ( hoe heet dat zown ding) off the engi the build thinh ( ask more in steam )
I can see this being a great map if the roof was a bit higher, their will not be much ralleys going on if it's that low Good job
*boots up SDK* *goes to the folder the map should be in* *notices the folder is empty* so yeah, i think i forgot to backup my map...
Nvm, found them! blame my total choas of folders on my extern HD I think I only need to experiment with the lighting to get it right and I see if I could those damaging stuff I haven't tried any gameplay tests with the map so i'd rather not edit the roof too much, as it might be fine already. If it's really too low I'll edit it. but that's for the post-release. I'm also thinking about making the playground *i've blocked off the edges around the playground, players are not intended to get there * more dynamic..for example when a certain area on the playground gets enough damage it might break off!
Heyhey Soooo, i think my map is basically done. but I just need to know if it actually works in a dodgeball server  any ideas how i can play it in dodgeball mode?
alright, there were some mistakes with the settings, but that was understandable. i haven't being able to test it properly until now So i'm going to fix those.
