If you ask someone to make an improvement or different way to do something. Who would you ask it to? People that are experts at this particular case (Cevo-p) or some random bystander (pubber)? Aren't the weapons made mostly for those that play the class?
no! NO NO NO NO! they weapons are made for EVERYONE! *sigh* when do you learn, you're not alone on the world with pubbers/noobs and people who you think are like you.
+1. However, it occurs to me that the competetive scene per se does maintain gameplay-equilibrium regardless of changes, seeing that issues are, if I daresay, swiftly surmounted. I have yet to hear a competetive player whine about OP Demomen, inefficient weaponry and the like. Briefly put, the pubbers are divas and should consequently be fed with inadequate updates to still their hunger. /elitism.
Try reading the gotfrag / etf2l forums. Demo's aren't limited to 1 without a reason. And the sandman is banned in comp play. etf2l even banned all the scout weapons. At least Valva gave us tournament mode, nocrits, nodamagespread.
Did I ever imply otherwise? I am well aware of competetive rules, and do lurk and sporadically post on the Gotfrag- and ETF2L-forums.
if those are so great, go and complain there :| I'm tired of all the "this sucks" be happy, shut up or go somewhere else. I choose the first option who joins for a happy and fun TF2 evening?
The problem is, u can't just play a pickup or match whenever u want. So u have to play pub if u want to play tf2.
All I'm hearing is practicly this: Whine Whine Whine + a strong dislike for every change regardless of what it is. whatever weapon they bring out is going to change gameplay if used, it will give a player a new possibilty or advantage over others, and basicly the message i get from link is that comp play is about the game as equal as possible and as far in its fps roots as possible. Maybe you should make a mod where TF2 is exaclty like CSS or other fps games so you dont have any trouble with anything TF2-like anymore! sounds like the perfect solution for links dreams :doubt:
Didn't I state that the kritzkrieg is a great example of a good sidegrade? The blut's and ubersaw are a bit OP but still nice sidegrades. The Natascha worked out ok too ( If it wasn't broken), and so did the axethinguiser and to lesser extent the Flare gun.
I bet you are already aware of this, but nonetheless. http://forums.multiplay.co.uk/team-fortress-2-pickups/ #mpuktf2.pickup = Public channel. #mpuktf2.pickup2 = Invite-only channel for competetive and/or more experienced user. Check out the link, read the rules and get started already. Seeing that the invite-system was malfunctioning last time, I haven't really lurked inside the secrat second channel. I can, however, recall from my stay in the public channel, members from major competetive clans (Yoyotech, TCM, Dignitas, 4K etc.) being present at all times. Game- and Ventriloservers are automatically alloted by the pickup-bot. Frankly, I am A-OK, provided that VALVe supplies means to disable said updates (weaponry + gameplay).
Indeed I never played comp. From what I hear overhere comp is this: Special servers that you cannot just join, with a bunch of elite players shooting at eachother who think everyone else is a noob and who think every not-medic unlock is gay. That covers it pretty much imo.
Yes lock it please... read some nice views about the update. But this is going nowhere. If you would like to dicuss some thing else start you own thread.
