just did a little spying on sundays opposition (as in reading their forum) they'll be in pretty bad shape it seems, by now they're missing at least 3 of their main lineup, including their leader. their pyro slagged his pc, one of them vanished into inactivity and their leader simply can't play sunday. so our chances of winning this are actually quite good by now.
http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/6 ... tion02.wav Cant be there tonight for practice So whats happening this sunday then? Are blu playing? Or are you postponing it for the highlander.
They can use mercs still. What if they will find high-skilled merc pyro? Just good luck! And good luck to my team too
I don't remember what was said about tonight, but if there's something planned I'm afraid I won't be there. So, see you all tomorrow to kick some ass
Hope i can be there tomorrow, my power went off this morning, and when it came back on my router has gone kaput, so should be installing another tomorrow. Currently at a mates ^^
It's Official! The golden cap was legit, and we won the Play Offs! However, a new threat is coming our way. The first Cup Match is here! It's against a Russian team called: Evolution This is their team page: http://etf2l.org/teams/11123/ And this is their site: http://rev0luti0n.ucoz.ru/ Could either Fix or Qball tell me what the heck it sort of says about the Highlander? They also posted 2 demo's of their match against their opponent of the group phase, so we might check 'em out. MAPS: 1. Upward 2. Gravelpit 3. Viaduct We should be able to get a 2-1 out of this. Win upward, depeding on how good they are, loose gravel and pwn again on Viaduct! Let's do this!
If you mean post on their main page, it's about another Russian highlander team - "We Have Amazing Tactic?". They've break the rules and played second map with three div3 buddies. If you want to hear something about their team... well seems like a bunch of pub players, nothing special. Moreover your first opponent is a "Crit-A-Sandvich" team.
This, whats the "Cup Match"? Crit-A-Sandvich dont look to hot Their website, more like a blog just for the team, doesnt seem to have much news of practices going on. They got through the group stage quite easily, 1 default win and 6-0 for their other match. Both of those games happened over 1 month ago so chances are they will be quite rusty, especially if they are not practising. Plus 7 of their 14 players are American, so they wont have great ping on our server, and they have no server of their own. Essentially just a big group of pub players, but lets not get too relaxed.
ETF2L calls this the Cup Phase, so that's why I call it a cup match. I misunderstood the table with the matches. I thought 2 teams in the same box would fight each other. Other than the 1 team above and 1 team underneath the line. Alright, let's start all over. http://etf2l.org/teams/10834/ http://critasandvich.tumblr.com/ They indeed don't look very impressing, however never under estimate the skills of american pubbers. Those kiddies have proven themselves to be quite good in the past. We might request an ETF2L server located in England or something, that is closer for them. Or Iceland might be the compromise they demand. No clue. I'll just try to get them to play on ours. 1 plus point. Their leader is Dutch, so I can atleast speak to him in a language we both understand, unlike the teams from the 6on6. Damn, barely any proper English sentence came from the Belarus leader...
as to the crit-a-sanvich website, that blog thingy you see is just a front for the public, the real beef is an invisible password protected site (there's a link in the fifth blogpost or so), so don't base any assumptions on that. also, one blogentry says "game will be at normal practice time", so they do seem to have regular practice.
Already in contact with their leader. This will probably be played this a Saturday or Sunday. So keep it free! Please tell me YOUR preference.
Gonna go over all the demos from Revolution and the team they're playing (as they have a better track record, practice a lot and clearly played a lot of ladder matches). I might not be available on Saturday as I've likely going to the Animation festival and will be seeing Dispicable Me at the cinema. So my vote goes for Sunday.
