    okay let's do it then!

btw about tactics, I really think we should have 2 combo's...
Heavy, medic, pyro and solly, demo, scout.

But then the pyro also roams a bit to help out the engy, and the scout roams a bit to get intel etc etc.

Yeah, sounds balanced this way. Let's never see games like upward yesterday, 'cause everybody knows it was a casat... caphas... casta... catastrophy

Btw, thanks for reminding me that my main target was the medic. After that I tried to focus on him, but he was such a paranoid  I didn't kill him often...

Yes it's hard, but you should really focus on their medic/engy/heavy. Leave the rest if necessary to keep your cover. Those 3 players (and for engy also most importantly his buildings) are the backbone of the team in Highlander. So those are your most valuable targets ;)

Have you considered practising with dead ringer antou?

I find it so much more effective then the other 2 watches for when you cover is blown, which in a well organised team like highlander it invariably will be.

Wall of text to Antou :D

There are a couple basic things you have to base the choice of your watch on. When there is an obvious 'flow' in the map (lots of ways to go, people can walk around easily), you should go for the DR. Because that way you can run around backstabbing people, get away with your cloak, decloak on a save place and pick up the flow again. This what I call 'flow' is very present in pub games and extremely dangerous for the enemy team, it allows you to slip in, and take out an enemy easily, because of unaware players walking around, acting as your 'cloak' (never completely rely on your disguise).
Usually when a chokepoint appears, or during parts of the map where there are very few ways to go, this flow is broken. When you wield the DR, you have to decloak away from the enemy and somehow manage to enter sight again, through a more obvious path than you have to with the IW and C&D. And with no flow present to slip in, a potent team will nearly always see you coming and you will never reach your target.
Imagine the beginning of the first stage of Badwater Basin, where everyone is stacked on the cart in the tunnel. Everyone entering the tunnel will have to eat a couple rockets and a handful bullets, whether you're an enemy (Spy) or not. Just go and try to waltz in there during that stage, even while on the same team, you would never be able to survive that greeting as an enemy Spy. When we go a level up however, and look at what's above the tunnel, we see a totally different playground. There are lots of rocks you can hide behind, and two distinct paths you can take. On this playground, there would be no cart breaking the flow and everyone would be just walking around, barely caring about who of their team walking around could be a Spy. This allows you to decloak wherever nobody's walking and just slip into the flow of people walking from their spawn to the enemy, to get to your target.
Your other watches however, will only allow you to survive a confrontation if you manage to take down most of the enemies. Say a Medic, Heavy and Demoman are walking around, you backstab the Heavy and the Medic and activate your cloak, you will probably get away. When you instead leave the Heavy standing, you will probably not survive. But sometimes, this is a risk you should take. If we look back at the tunnel in Badwater, you can't enter the tunnel (or make it to the cart) without dying to the most overkill force and you can't decloak near the cart with your DR. You can however, if the enemies are distracted by for example your heavy-medic that shows up, decloak behind the cart with one of the other two watches, steal their socks and backstab them (then wear the socks on your head, by selecting it in the hats-slot).

I think I just wrote a lot of bullshit, oh well. Comes down to the point that DR grants survival but less accessibility to your targets and the other way around with the other 2 watches.

Wall of text to Antou > OMG O_O you expect me to read this ? lol :p

300 > yep, that's what i was starting so think actually. I used to cloak with the DR for a time and then switched back for the classic watch, but yesterday i tested the DR again and i must say it is much more effective in little committee :)

I want to advise you only one thing - always change your watches.
Enemies shouldn't know which one you will wear next.

DR is kinda easy to spot haha. but yeah most of the time people lose intrest and just go on with what they where doing and then *BAM* backstab xD sometimes when i'm focusing on footsteps i always jump 10FT in the air when i get backstabbed

Is today a good day? To express all your stress and frustration from work in a good TF2 match :p
Also, the classic payload maps are going horrible.

These payload maps (goldrush, badwater, etc.) are quite unbalanced for RED. So in nearly all competitive games, it comes down to how fast BLU can cap the last point. Why doesn't this happen in pub games? Because people don't work together, everyone just roams about and gets pounded into the ground by half RED's defence. In competitive games however, BLU pushes together and thus can waltz through RED's defence with relative ease.
Now I'm not saying that we don't have any teamwork at all, but most of the time we are just screwing around for a minute or two before someone (Killvion) decides to ask everyone to regroup and do a tactical push.

As a spy, i really feel useless on Badwater... I don't know why, I just don't manage to play as I use to do on other maps. I'd like to try with another class (soldier, pyro, medic), only for this map of course, and if somebody is ok for some spying on this map ^^

Other than that, today is fine for me. 2 days before the event starts :p !

Might not be able to play tonight guys. I really want to be there too and would of liked to play Spy or another class this one time.

I'll give Kittens my mobile number as I won't be at my PC if you guys really need me.

How ironic. The night I probably won't be playing is the night I'll actually have help...
