ETF2L Higlander event - Recruitment

Apologies i just came online but it looks like you got a replacement just fine, i had other matters to deal with.

We played against a team which had four players from div3. So was kinda hopeless to begin with.

 

Ah, least we can not expect that in the tournament

Will we find out who we are playing in the first rounds today?

 

We just so happen to be in one of the few groups with only 3 teams, is that a good thing or a bad thing? D:

 

Right, we need to fight against to national teams. One German and one from Portugal. They have a slight advantage that they can speak their own native language, we have the advantage that we weren't bound to one country to find our players. Both are very small factors though.

However the German team has a Buddy. A div3 scout. We must look on to it that he doesn't play anything else than pyro, heavy spy or engy. The German team has the same team as we do, partially a 6on6 div6 team, partially pubbers. So they will give us the hardest battle.
The team from portugal aren't looking very frighting. None of their players have played in a comp team before and when you look at "Which classes have you played?" you oftenly see all 9 classes. Unless they really have so much experience in warring that they've played all classes as main class, I think they didn't really got the question. Which is good for us.

So. It's a fun poule. Not a default win, but we really make a chance!

Also, I've been browsing through the forums of the other teams, and I just saw that the german team is a bit chaotic but kinda like us xD They have participated in the Highlander 2 times, however, it was a default win for 2 times So...
They also seem to be pretty full of themselves.

The team from portugal seems to have some arguments inside the team all the time, not very friendly remarks have been made and yesterday one of the players has told he will no longer play. As far as I can see they haven't got a new guy yet.

If we keep our focus up and our minds sharp we make a chance.

So play your class a lot in pubs and try to train yourself even more. It's now almost there and we will have to show the world that we are worth it win those medals!

We will show the Lethal-Zone skill for once and for all! HOORAH!

 

I suggest people practice on TF2 Lobby as well as their class. I know I go on about it a lot but people there actually have mics, work together and are extremely good. From 12 midday to around 10pm you can always get an EU Highlander or at least a 6vs6.

I'll be practising there today and tomorrow.

So, i think we need to make a list of days, when we all will be online and be able to play.
I can play every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

I can play every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

 

The guys from portugal don't have an own server + yet an other one folded.

I can play everyday EXCEPT tuesdays and thursdays.

 

Anyday but monday, I guess.

 

i've got no fixed dates where i can't play, in theory i'm free every evening. there's always the chance for me to get desk duty in the evening though, which is completely unpredictable right now. so for anything not scheduled in advance i might spontaneously not be available on a case by case basis

 

I can play everyday but in the next few days/weeks I'm going to be really busy.

It's my dad's birthday on Thursday, I need to visit my relatives as I meant to this summer, I've got to book appointments for the Optometrist, Dentist and Hospital and then go to them and also apply for benefits then the interview then sign on.

So I'm going to be gone for a week at some point.

 

I'm thinking we might need some more backups...

 

I can't play on monday, all the other days are usually fine for me.

 

so far it will be just friday and weekends...
