I wish I could rep Double Agent because that was some awesome posting.

 

It's the same with the german HUD: It's crap. Especially the German voice over... Brrr... awful.
Especially since it's so half-assed and at parts just plain stupid. The class names are still in English, still people are calling for a "Sanitäter" (german term for 'Medic'), when they're hurt.

 

how can you know that ? It's not because it's crap in German that it's also bad in Dutch. I'm quite happy that a big game like TF2 has a Dutch hud.

 

Idd, the same counts for the word "butterfly".
It sounds sweet in English, French ánd Dutch (buttefly, pappillon, vlinder),
but in Germand it sounds terrible and even scary: schmetterling.
It could be a name for a weapon of mass destruction.
