    are the wing commander series even playable, those where DOS games if memory serves.... I played them a lot back then. Prolly cannot get my current stick working with it anyways, and its too old for me now...

    Loved the fly games of the era:
    - Wing Commander series
    - Crimson Skies
    - Descent Series
    - Battlefield 1942 was also fun to fly, altho the maps where too small really for it. For heli it was good, but that was depending on the map etc.


    And Origin... That is plain evil....

    Well you can always try and a joy-stick is never too old. It's like the wheel and pedals that I have, they are made for w98/XP and yet they work like new (almost) in w7x64.

    And yes, origin is pure and plain evil :D

    my old joystick was a gameport joystick, the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback... that was a very good joystick.... but Windows Vista, 7 and 8, and 10 do not support the gameport anymore.

    Yeah, there where hacks to migrate the XP drivers for it to Vista, but that only worked for x86, not for x64. And I ran Vista x64 from day 1....

    Oh...gameport...haven't seen those in ages...I guess I'm lucky because my good old wheel n pedal combo has an USB-plug :)
