All my fault *sniff* Don't forget how much ass we kicked on Badwater and upward will be a good map for us, apart from the fact we will be playing the guys who kicked our asses in practice a while back As long as i have my PC sorted by then i will arrange some practice this weekend.
you win some, u lose some... My idea: lets practise every day. We can appoint constatnt training times and additionaly train every evening. We have players online every day, so we could just go comp training with these ppl (HL and mixes) just to improve our skills in general. Maybe arrange fights against other LZ-warteams and use the knowledge of our experienced players to mentor us in training situations... I would be rly glad if it could be possible like that. $oul
You got a point there, we didn't even practice on those 2 maps, so the next ones are better (for me) I know the maps quiet well
If someone is willing to arrange this, if you are, then by all means feel free. I am normally only available Saturday - Monday nights, obviously due to unforeseen circumstances this was not the case this week.
Alright, right after the match the emotions were still high. Lets get some facts straight. Our team isn't good at CP maps. We've lost all our practices and now the official. PL are more our strong suit. Upward is a fun map that we should be able to do. There is one thing lacking in our team that's very important: Teamwork Too often do people just run into enemy territory without saying that they are going to and too often the end up getting killed because of it. We rarely push with the entire team and we don't communicate enough on the vital moments. Highlander is almost pub with the amount of players in a team, but it really requires more teamwork than we're doing. Previously agreed tactics are not good enough. We need real-time team work.
I just read the forum and I must say (in the matches I played) our biggest flaw is indeed 'teamwork'. I think nobody should ever push alone, except if he's sure he can get the medic, or some other important people (heavy, demo). We all like to get some honour and so most of us are willing to do something awesome, alone, which mostly turns out bad. But uuuh, I'm back And I'm going to try to get into the game again as soon as possible
The first and last sentry spots are usually where i build myself in pubs. But i do have to note that the first spot is extremelly weak against a well co-ordinated attack. What is a viable alternative is to build basically a little north of that point about the height of the intersection of the down and uproad. You can place a sentry there and a dispenser against the house where the first sentry mark is. You do have to wrangle constantly there but if you can do it, it is an awesome place imo. They have to pop uber really early and with the pyro always around and the open area's he should be able to disrupt their uber even further with all the airblasts. The biggest drawback of it is probably the sniper and that is where our sniper comes in Second sentry spot is indeed a nice one, but you should really watch it when building there since if they can push rather fast from the first point. Then you should skip the second place and go straight for the third one. On the third point (there is no sentry place indicated here unfortunately) you could do somewhat the same as i suggested on the first. Build quite far behind and wrangle. But then again it comes to how good you can wrangle and the vulnerability to the sniper. And the last sentry point is a good one indeed, you do however need a lot of help from the team. Preferably you need constant spychecking ofcourse, but then again if they push with uber from below you want your pyro there to airblast them away since otherwise your nest will most likely get destroyed. The top floor on the other side has to be kept clear aswell. Especially the window on the right since your sentry can be damaged from there without the sentry being able to fire at them. Best thing would be to try out some of the sentry spots and see what is best. Especially the different ones on the first point and to see what is best on the third point. Assuming you play engie on that match and we dont have a practice match (as it looks now anyway) i suggest we try some of the places in some pubs as a next best thing. It can give us an idea and multiple people can always provide better feedback so if anybody wants to join us aswell then, by all means please do. So let me know what you think of all this ^^
stomach flu, yesterday i wasn't able to even start my computer:s now i'm able, but i don't know if i be able play. @Asbak: Dank u
Well I'm in for Monday. Couldn't play this week due to driver's license exam today. Had to practise every evening. But I've passed, and I'm going to Ghent again Sunday untill Wednesday, so I'm available to play. Next week Thursday I need to go visit a doctor so don't know if I'll have to stay in the hospital or not
