Sadly that's an issue that can't be fixed. Or do you want comp players to not pub? Or not try to play good on pub?
rage more = dude it's a game. You shouldn't even rage, but if you do well it's time to stop playing ^^
i even rage sometimes (and i'm staff hahaha) playing against div1 players is never fun, like i stated before it's like putting a noob css player in a server with players who play css for 5 years xD only problem is div1 players are WAY better that i can ever be so i don't realy care anymore haha if i see them pwn my ass from here to next sunday, i will just pack my shit and go to the other server haha (if i'm on AM1 i'll go to AM2 and vice versa or i'll go play some arena or jumpmaps haha) and on the top3 for loosing team, don't realy mind (it's the end of the round so yeah haha) same with the prophunt and stuff. on the scramble it's something we had issue's with from the start and there isn't a failproof solution out there that will work 100% but we ARE working on it to fix it so maybe if u stay a litlle longer the problems will be fixed and you can once again enjoy the servers
I personally like the presence of skilled players:it always forced me to try my best.In addition, having a strong enemy makes the team more efficient. Playin' against noobs isn't fun.
Problem with pub and comp TF2 is that the difference in skill between them is so amazingly big. Bigger than any game I think. That's why there are so many pub players complaining (yea its not you alone) that competitive players shouldn't play on pub. And that's also why there are so many pub players and in comparison to them, so few competitive players. The thing is, you improve when playing. But there is always a limit in how good you can get. I believe that in pub, that limit is very low. I played a long while only pub, not even knowing that comp tf2 existed, I sucked at that time and almost didn't improve tbh. And when I finally got into comp tf2 and starting to play more and more 6v6 and specially with better and more experienced teammates and opponents, I only got better and better. Anyhow, you can't just ban people who play or played comp tf2. And I don't think they play on pubs just to rape and make people rage. Ofc you have some exceptions, but mainly they play pub to have fun and maybe warm up a little (for a comp match). Pub tf2 is completely different then comp, but is fun in a different way. AND, you can play pub anytime. Comp only when you got 5 other players, you need to find an opponent etc. Before you can finally start to play a match you are about 15 minutes further. Sad to hear that you're leaving because of that. But I do think the limit of how skilled you can get is higher on LZ, because we have better players than most pubs. I've played on DoG's pub servers once or twice, and the average skill there was worse than bots. By the way, that might also explain why I see more and more 'comp players' on our servers. Because the average skill on our servers is higher than most pubs. tl;dr: there is a huge gap of skill between pub and comp players. and both don't really like each other sadly, which is also why there are só many pubbers and so few comp players
I think respect on the servers has to be owned. You haven't been around very long. So a lot of LZ regs won't recognize you and think you are a random 12 year old who happens to get pwnod. I love it when Matt join. frankly enough, especially when he is at the other team. Jer9 and I often make a little game out of it who can kill him the most times. and when you do, it gives a feeling of being victorious. Playing against good players improves you skill dramatically. I can remember inviting Pim to the server all the time, just because I know he's a great scout. And I wanted to get better and better.
ur right guys. ive got the same attitude, even in real life. if u train against/ with some1 that is very good, u improove much faster and get profit from the experience of them. so its always a win-situation for the less-skiled ppl, but not everybodys EGO can handle it...
seeing myself as a high ranking blabla lz member. make up your mind dude.. you mess up my "new posts" overview everytime ;-) (this is not dis-respect, this is me being straightforward and to the point, something you should have done already)
Winning on LZ is not difficult. When you play a lot LZ and learn about all its members, you start to predict quite reliably the winning team at the beginning of the match based on its players. If you want to always win on LZ servers just join the team that has more than one of these players: excess, knightmare, q-ball, matt, arnold, keltsu, herr boogie and many many others. There is only one map were it is very difficult to predict the winners, plr_hightower. I've seen even the best players fail on this map
I was on map 2 last night playing NinjaPyro and got third other side consisted of yogurt and the like, they aint too bad if you avoid them, took a decent sniper out a few times by going around then airblasting him to oblivion. On Double Cross. Felt good man.
Quick question: What do you want exactly? I've actually never seen you on the servers up to this point but from what I've gathered in this thread and at the look of your chatlog, you're the typical case of a whiny lemon. So I'm not surprised that people are taking the piss out of you. And expecting a "high ranking LZ member" to be less of a prick is nonsense. To be perfectly honest they could be even bigger pricks than other people - after all they got a reputation. This is hypothetical of course, so I'm not pointing at anyone with this. So in the end: If you want to leave, then leave. But currently it seems more like an empty "threat" and a cry for attention. PS: The prophunt mod is indeed unnecessary.
Yeah I'm still here, a bit uneccesary to call me a whiny lemon, For the record I haven't seen you either, bad first impression.
the pregame mayhen and prophunt are btw removed.. (but was doing stability issues and it effected gameplay operations) we are planning on a "loonie bin" servers, where all that crap is allowed
Could someone delete this thread now so someone who missed the memo doesn't come in here and have a go.
Considering what show you're currently having here... I do think it's appropriate. Welp. It's sure a hard blow when some bloke on the internetz has a bad first impression of me. Also thanks Snel for removing the propstuff. ^^ The pregame mayhem was actually sort of fun, but oh well. Nothing too grave.
