Same here, it works and I can dominate Luke with it. That's all I need to have. (Microsoft comfort optical mouse 3000 btw)
I play with a G5 mouse and i like it The feel of a mouse is indeed really personal..so go to a store and start feeling
razer > logitech imo i've had my share of logitech mice, the mx500, G5 & g7. After that i made the switch to razer and it most certainly gave me a boost in reaction and precision. I'm currently using the razer lachesis and it's bold form fits perfectly for both small handed as big handed people. All in all, razer has tip top mice with very good response and little latency. Add the immer improving laser functionality (dpi's with over 4000) and you'll find yourself in a dominating position with your new razer mouse There top model is most likely the deathadder, which has just received a hardware revamp, making it even more accurate. http://store.razerzone.com/store/razeru ... D.35208800 Ps: if you're looking for a good gamepad, the razer exactmat is a great tool and relatively cheap. It comes in a big format and is made out of pure fabric, where some latex or vinyl surfaces have trouble recognising with high dpi lasers, the razer mantis is perfectly capable of handling +4000 dpi and offcourse has 2 sides that u can use (control + speed). And if you need more votes of the mousemat, the entire yellow team bought the mousemat at lan after testing it. Viewing some prices of amazone and you can get away with a razer combo pack for less then £100.
5700dpi ftw for a cheap prize, i have the same mouse. The cord is even covered with a cool looking sleeve that slides better on your desk. And there are some weights with it so you can choose how heavy or light it should be.
After looking at Amazon and seeing some people bought the G5 over the last two days (therefore making stock run out) it says the G500 is a newer version of the G5. G5 G500 Much difference?
Decided to go for the G500 from Amazon themselves. It was £33 with free delivery and from what I've been reading I'd rather get the newest version. If I'm not happy with it hopefully I can return it.
I'm very happy with my Logitech G9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logitech_G9 I did wear out my first G9, on which the left mouse button sometimes fail (shooting as a heavy really is annoying when it stops every now and then). But then again... it's been with me for A LOT of kills I found another one quite "cheap" at €45... and i still love it. I love the feel, the weight, the precision and... as a productdesigner i also like the design I've now got a roccat taito (?) A3 mousepad which is very smooth in combination with the really big ptfe gliders. My previous mousepad wasn't as smooth anymore also... i wont be buying replacement feet for my mouse anymore... the replacement ptfe is of a different quality and wears off too fast
So got my mouse this morning. So far it is VERY VERY comfortable, I can see myself playing with it for hours. Still getting used to the totally different type of laser, sensitivity, the way it glides across my mousepad (hence why I think I'll get a control pad) and it's shape when moving. I think I'll love it eventually however it's very strange to play TF2 XD Also the matter finish on the sides makes it feel like my thumb is sweating when it's not, might have to do something about that.
I use the CM Storm Mouse and its very good, you can change the colors - white ,green ,red ,blue etc. you can change the speed on a button on the mouse you have some "stones" in it which you can take out if you want. 70 Euro for it
all normal. in a week or so, you're completely used to it. experiment with different weights and speeds, and enjoy ^^
Verdict so far: Pretty damn good. Been playing with it for a few hours but resorted straight away by putting blu-tack on the left side as it was making my thumb feel weird. Anyway, it already feels and looks like I can rocket jump further, play Heavy MUCH better and generally react more smoothly. Other bonuses are it NEVER rarely twitches and look in a different direction and it's a godsend not having to use batteries. The special rope-like wire is damn handy and doesn't cause any drag. Definitely worth the purchase. I appreciate the suggestions guys and the help
to get even further rocketjumping use your strafe key's you'll fly in a slight bend but it goes further (and you have more controll)
try this jump and you'll notice next time you always use strafe haha (also try to reflect off walls to gain extra distance)
I'm unsure how to bind the middle side button to a command. I've tried clicking it in TF2, using MOUSE10 out of game but to no avail. How do I program the button that has the small red square on it to be usable? Doesn't matter, I'll try this: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-ser...ot-recognize-mouse-button-10-G500/td-p/469591 Doesn't matter fixed it with the above tutorial.
I prefer Razer mice, a lot of those Logitech mice have the same shape, haven't looked back ever since I bought a Razer Deathadder (actually, I have two of them.). Main difference is that the way you hold a Deathadder feels more natural for claw-style players, while most Logitech mouses are shaped for handpalm-style players
im a spastic in rocketjumps. once i had a little training with blackout and after 20 minutes of failing, i just gave up :|
