I spend my days reading about History and learning how to hate certain nationalities for how they treated us. Such is life in the zone.
Yeah, well, history is a long lesson in keeping grudges... But its events back then, and you gotta move on. Only if it continues to this day, you'll have a point. Otherwise you're just hanging in a past that isn't there anymore. If its living memory (ppl in your age group remembering it) then its a different thing. But long past? nah. I would otherwise have to have a grudge vs germans, french, etc etc. There where always in long past wars and occupation by neighboring countries in any country.
Of course I can't say that history has ever influenced how I act towards people,but keeping it in the back of your head is useful. Besides we've had plenty of recent history to think about.I consider everything from WWI onwards recent. However no matter how recent I must always remember to REMOVE KEBAB.
