I first saw the update page and thought "Wow MOAR STUNSSZZ!!" But then I read the single line on the blog and I am happy. This might actually be something.
Wonder what happens: - When you shoot at a uber player? - When you don't crit and instantly kill? (Does it only stick or will you be pinned to the wall alive?) - Rate of fire? But funny and original weapon to be honest.
I can only hope that ubers will be left alone this time. RoF with fully charged is 1 sec, normal Sniper RoF uncharged I think. I hope you can't pin living players, although the blog is a bit vage. EDIT NO STUN CONFIRMED "The Huntsman doesn't have any stun-like capability. Killing an enemy who's standing in front of a wall will result in their ragdoll being pinned to the wall. Sorry for the confusion, we're just having a bit too much fun pinning our co-worker's bodies to the walls in compromising positions. Most people say that only dead bodies will get stuck to walls, but a lot of people think that if you are close to a wall and get shot by it the Huntsman will pin you to it. If you could clear it up I'm sure a lot of people would be happy. Thanks.
A lot of buzz on ETF2L forums already. Dunno what to think about it, let's just wait till everything has beenclarified. Just pray for nothing that gets even close to sandman.
I Was already thinking it would be just like the crossbow in HL2. I found it sound silly if you could pin alive players, it would only give more frustration for those who got hit by it. ...although it would make the game feel more cartoony. But then it should be more like this:
UPDATE Why Arena Maps? Seriously give us some good a/d or 5 cp maps. Although Rain sounds interesting.
That's the same thing I thought. Nobody cares about Arena anymore... at least the maps look more promising than crappy Watchtower. It's also nice that they also make some enviromental changes. The rain sound nice and it seems that the new payload map plays at night.
looks good, I like the new Darkish, night like ambiance. And they finally going to release the payload race, yaay! I like Arena, it's quite fun. But I do think that they should make some more other maps. But the update days are not over yet so let's wait and see what kind of maps are going to released too.
