Even with the beta Detonator pryo would still be used as an offclass, for spamming his airblast to defend last cap.

Tbh in a lot of situdations I think pyro is actually pretty handy. You can defend against anyone with a bit of skill. Then if you manage to set someone on fire, they run away to get heals/health. Also push ubers back, just need that smooth M1 + '3' switch and take people down in a second ;)

I'm not saying they are worthless. I'm just saying that with the extreme mobility boost, they would probably be used a completely different way since they stand a chance of getting to one of the points in CP as fast as a soldier.
I guess it's just wishful thinking now. /le sigh

Yeah let's give ubering 10 points, so that pointwhores instantly blow uber the second they have it to get on the scoreboard.

Don't forget that you can't pointwhore dispensers since destroying them takes away the points. And you WANT that engineer to build a dispenser at all times. You WANT that medic to hold on to that uber to clutch the point.

An uber that actually does somehting will get you more points than a point-whoring, instantly activated one.

I don't see engineers constantly spamming their buildings everywhere and let them get destroyed be enemies to get points, which would be a way easier way of scroing points than charging an uber. So maybe people aren't that point-whorish?

It's harder for an engineer to do that imo, and the building has to be fully erect for the points to be recieved. And medics are fine in HlStatsX, you get extra points for medic assists right?

Besides you've proven your own point. An uber that does something will always get you more points.

Yea, but playing heavy always gets me more points than playing medic, while I'm confident that I'm better at medic than heavy.

Oh well, now I'm sounding like a point whore :)

Don't forget, if you get x points as a heavy and you would medic that heavy 100% of the time, you would get x+(healing+uber) points. And thus more then him. Also if you play medic you are reliant on your team to "give" you points. Maybe you just have bad teams to medic :p

Just check 6's the medic will, in 98% of the cases, have the most points.

I just don't like to be a pocket Medic all the time and make sure keep everyones HP to 150%, which causes me to "miss" a lot of assists. Points for healing like there are ingame would be nice, but I guess talking about it here doesn't help at all.

Shouldn't you care more about enjoying the game than trying to get alot of points?

    Says the #1 ranked player.

Neither do the guys in 6's. Just keep everyone up, but know when to only heal one person. Seems to work for me quite well.

I just like my score to correctly show how good I played, which isn't the case when I'm playing medic: I can be nr. 1 in the scoreboard but still have negative points on the stats

well as medic you're obviously not going for the kills. as medic you're better off watching your death/assist ratio :p
if you have a nice amount of assists with a low amount of deaths, you're doing well! :D
but seriously, stats mean nothing, they're just as useful as achievements. you achieve one, its in your completion list and then what? I'd rather play a game for fun than to get frustrated, because my stats are not awesome.

Yea, but right now it's also

    HLStats <-> gameplay score

And yea, stats/points aren't everything, I'm not really frustrated, but I just think it's not fair medics don't get stats that are as correct as the other classes (at least for me)
