Doesn't this mean that people can now "legally" change their viewmodel to ranges that our automatic cheater detection bans for?
Changing viewmodel_fov is not illegal, you can extend or shorten your viewmodel weapon as much as you like. Changing your fov however above 90 or beneath 75 (I think) is illegal, this command allows you to see more/less of your environment. I can finally play demos with the viewmodel_fov I am actually using ingame =')
Well I knew that part. I just thought that Valve extended the range you could change you fov meaning that people would get banned by SMAC.
But wasnt viewmodel_fov always open? The one thats restricted is fov_desired. Thats the one that has 75 to 90. Yeah. I think Im right unless Im not
Yep that's what I've been trying to say The command viewmodel_fov_demo is only for demos, it used to be locked and you couldn't change it. Now with the command unrestricted I can record my demos with my normal viewmodel_fov (110).
I already said that there is no restriction on viewmodel_fov. I remember that I could chance it to any number I wanted while playing competitive. But that was ages ago.
look what I found on the wiki: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Unusu ... ed_effects Spoiler these have been added to the wiki recently. robocrates i guess. it looks like the zap will be the new burning, it looks cool. way to make people pay more money.
there is no indication of any unusual parts (hell no). I think it only means that unusuals that is unboxed from a robocrates will have the new effects. anyway:
Hey guys, there are some issues on AM1 as far as i've seen so far because of the update. Issues like not joining the next map and saw that the joiners' names being shown in the chat for twice, minor issues I guess. Hope to see them fixed soon
^^ It seems every map change it started to download updates while it had the chance. Pretty lame tbh...
