Normal hit damage is 30 so the mini would be 40. Robin Walker is in fact responding to ALL fanmail send to him.
And yet I hope it is a lie, since pyro is NoBrainMode already.

    fuck you.
sure, pyro is a class that is easy for new players and is also used a lot by your types of noobs.
But just because you see a lot of "bad" pyro's and you appearently aren't tactical enough to be a good, comp pyro, doesn't mean a pyro is auto-noob or can't be a good class for comp play!

with the new feature of the airblast a pyro is the savior for any player who is burning when a medic isn't around.

Pyro's has his nichés indeed. Mainly the airblast can be used in so many ways, and I respect the pyro's that perfected the use of this lethal weapon. However these pyro's are few and far in between. Most of the pub pyro's are W+M1 and can get loads of kills/assist that way.

If only everyone knew that, and the burning players wouldn't run away from the pyro or the pyro would use the airblast.
There is not good reason not to use the Normal Flamer now anymore.

Tbh, I've only used the backburner like .. 2 times

Sucks tbh, the moment you hit them, they turn around and your crits are gone
Normal flamethrower can blast people away, reflect rockets etc
(extremely useful on maps like cp_Steel or Watchtower)
And now you can put out fire with it, so it's extra awesome :D

Backburner takes more effort to make it succesfull. I try to take large detours just to hit them in the back an run^^ When you kill 2 or 3 enemies like that is lot of fun ;) But recently i have the feeling backburner needs even more precise aiming as before, but that could be me ;)

Although I use normal flamer, I do like the idea of backburner too. Backburner makes pyro more of a sneaker and hit&run kinda player, whereas normal flamer usually finds himself breaking enemy ubers and helping the team.

But meh, if you use backburner, what do you do with the axe? Nothing...
I just jumping down from a building, put hevy on fire and hack&slash your way to ownage.

I really liked the backburner first, with the health buff it was a reasonable choice. But when they removed it I rather quickly switched back, since it had more advantages. I think that, compared to all the functions of the normal flamethrower, the backburner is getting more UP than it was 'OP' before. Not asking for a change though, just stating it.

its like, a real teamplayer :D
bbpyro's blow ass, and not just cow's ass

not to mention the fun there is in succeeding to torch someone, gust him into a corner with yr compressionblast, and then critz his ass of with the axestinguisher! :D
i've linked this before but its worthy of spammin again

as for now the bb just aint worth shit compared to the normal burner, Valve should really make some adjustments or some different burners for the pyro

I FEAR and respect those pyro's, I fear them mostly though.

That rocket jump from an enemy rocket is hard, seen it a few times, but didn't realy tried it myself.
I to use the airburst to propell enemies back and blast them with the flare gun, its fun.

I still don't like the flaregun... I only use my secondary for if people who are already burning go just to far away. especially with scouts. and then a shotty is my #1 friend.
Before a flaregun is really handy, you need to have those uber aiming skillz as on the vids. and for me that takes too much practise time
I just keep my dear shotgun :)

If you can learn how to aim with it it's more then worth it.

It's the pyro's only long range. Because a longer range shotty shot is pretty useless. It can be good to finish off stuff just beyond your flame's range, but any further just won't cut it. The flare gun can be used for the same purpose (just less easy) AND for long range annoyance with pretty decent damage.

Same as a normal rocket jump.

That's as much as I could've figured out on my own.
It's more the problem of when he exactly jumps. Which Rockets are "jumpable", which not? When do you need to initiate the jump? And so on...
