    Well if you look at it this way, valve had 2 ways to nerf them.

    Option 1: Nerf the damage/blast radius of the weapons, which would cause the need for more spam and all the soldiers and demos crying out "OMGZ Teh damage sux!!!", "U sux valve unerf!!" Nerfing the damage output would have caused way more complaints.

    Option 2: Nerf the ammo count, make them equal to every other class ingame, considering most soldiers/demos rarely ran out of ammo, even when spamming. As a Pyro I have often just been left with an axe because I've ran out of flames and shotgun ammo. Heavys also have an ammo problem and they cant really move wheile shooting to collect as they go.

    As a soldier, I'm quite glad with the update. I was worried when they announced they were maybe going to cut the damage, but I have no problem with a reduction in ammo. It will just make everyone remember better where to find metal/ammo canisters and improve the importance of on-site dispensers (besides, u should be able to refill your supply after every kill with the enemy's weapon, so no problem there).

    Actually I'm very glad they cut the demoman ammo, because frankly it seems to me more than half of the players on the L-TF2 servers play nothing but demos and it's getting annoying to have stickies blanketed at every corner or get pipe-spammed in every hallway.. *end rant* :)

    Anyone have news on the mapcycle? It seems i havent played anything but granary, dustbowl, badlands and gravelpit in months (as in no well, hydro *snif* or 2fort).

    Ever since the cycle got changed to 24/7 badlands, it hasn't been restored as before :cry:

    Map cycle just went from well to turbine, castle and labor, with an average of 5 people per team playing, with greatly uneven teams and everyone leaving during labor. Not really a change for the better in my opinion :)

    I'm not trying to be negative or anything, it's just that I started playing on the L-TF2 servers because of the nice people and the full map rotation without many customs (castle from time to time as a nice exception), but since a few days I'm thinking about finding some new pet servers, just cos I don't like playing on them anymore. They used to be always full of regulars with a nice variation in maps, now it's just the same maps all over again or one custom after the other.

    Just my personal preference of course, I don't mean to attack anyone on this.

    there goes my weekend! hope valve wont make it to hard for me this time. Last update cost me a whole sunday to fix again!

    I hope they soon fix that Vista error when you shutdown the game, "HL2 is not responding".

    I really have the impression that this updates are usefull :D
    Fixed the exploit, Fixed multiply übers, Fixed the characters, yeah really nice!

    Imo, this adjustment sucks. If you have a wounded teammate in desperate need of über AND a heavy to support, you'll even have less time to complete your goal.

    Oh and there was another update few days ago. It doesn't affect the servers, but I'll post it anyway:

    Played it this morning with Eric and Duxi....

    Is a fun map, maybe a bit hard if the red team puts up enough sentry's :)

    But 1 thing. The traincart heals you and gives ammo...

    So that is an even bigger plus point....

    Was fun. Want to play it some more tonight.......
    Even if I have to install bots :)
