Also Communitycontributors got a little present from Valve: Click. Valve was smart enough to hide the special abilities it seems. All the Valve Weapon abilities are hidden too now, except Robin's Death Launcher.
still think the system sucks still new players can have 10 hats and a hardcore player none... i seen a guy who was getting the most simple achievements get like 5 hats in 1 session and i have 1 friggin hat that i don't even want :evil:
Changed idle player check to include spectators & players who haven't chosen a team Which simply means if you go spec on a server without choosing a team first you get kicked after x-minutes. Very important if you want to help filling a server, first join a team, then go spec. Pretty shitty imo, it will make our work a lot harder since you cannot go afk spec fill anymore. If you're still spec after mapchange you didn't choose team = kick. Maybe immunity will fix that, dunno edit: confirmed, spectate to fill is made impossible atm. by valve Nice, so now you cannot even spec a cheater anymore. Made some mailinglist and forumpost in sourcemod about this. I think people who run an idle for hat server ( bahbah) are also interested in this.
Shitty Valve, with every fix they do, ten things get fucked up by them.. Hope to see it fixed.. otherwise we are forced to play instead of spec..
idleservers have no timelimit, something that does damage (so you die every 2 minuits or so) so it seems that your playing. so this only fixes people getting items from being spectator. so generaly they didn't fix the problem they wanted an created a problem for comunity's like LZ for filling servers by spectating. and like guus said every update they somehow manage to F***K something up. i wished they made a cliënt-side comand to turn of unwanted sounds in the game (class taunts things like that) cause because of the new sounds (preloading every sound) my game stutterd (wich i kind of fixed with a comand alowing for the sound NOT running in sync with the screen) but hey like they now proved again they rather f***k the game up isntead of making aprovements for many players...
Interesting Update... Don't really know what I should think about the Medic selfhealingrate changes... But I'll notice soon enough wheter I'll die quicker and more than before. And the changes to the Blutsauger make the regular SyringeGun considerable again. After you got the Blutsager you usally throw the old on into the next corner. But now? Well, now it's the question if the life leech from the Blutsauger is worth sacrifing selfhealingrate... Reading the Sandvich changes made me jump in glee, since I'm a convinced Sandvich user anyways. (And no, I'm not only using the Sandvich to hear the Heavy's gleeful Sandvichtaunts, which never seem to get old.) Being able to finally share the delicious snack supports the team aspect in the game even further and now it's actually useful to take the Sandvich with you even though you got a Medic supporting you. I hope though that I'll be able to part myself from my loose cannon Sandvich. The only thing that confuses me is... So Primary Fire is the regular 120HP healing and if you taunt you get fully healed (but I suppose you eat longer...?) Wouldn't make much sense though... But I'm using the taunt key for eating anyways, since you can bypass the weapon switching delay you would have using primary fire. Can't wait to spam the Spawnroom with Sandviches.
This update is flippin' awesome, so many tactical chooses and influences in comp play. IIRC correctly the sandvich is always a taunt, even when used with primary fire. And don't forget the medic self-heal got doubled, so you have to choose between passive and aggrisive selfheals. Seems like a better trade-off to me. I'd rather see the Syringe buffed though. And the update speaks only of healthpacks to regain sandviches, will this be the case with resupply's and dispensers too? Nice update overall, really glad they ironed out some bugs. Too bad for the spectators anyway. Also that sandvich is a real baiter, drop one near a doorway wait for someone to "bite" and destroy them!
