Team Fortress 2 Update Topic

    And really, really obnoxious. That's a nightmare for every Heavy player. Then again with the damage indicator this function is anyway unnecessary.

    Also, how dares Valve to nerf my beloved Dead Ringer? X(
    What a pathetic trade off. Quieter uncloak sound in exchange for less cloak. Then again this ability was quite broken, but still.

    The other updates sound quite nice... the FaN changes sound pretty neat... got to test that new knockback though, wheter it's any good or if it renders the FAN completely useless.

    You still have the same amount of cloaktime, you are just punished for uncloaking to fast.

    haven't played yet (reason's -> personal) FaN dunno what to think i always found the knockback weird... imagine this;
    i'm chasing someone and a scout pops up BEHIND me with the FaN, shoots me and i fly up in the air just stopping dead in my tracks xD shouldn't i be flying forward? :D i hope this is fixed even if the hit you with "1" damage you get this effect (wich is anoying as hell)
    DR new sound?? hmmm i just used it to know what way the spy went after i shot him. So unless it's doesn't make less sound as normal cloack/uncloak i don't have a problem (they have when they uncloak behind me and i wack m with my shovel/pickaxe/bottle/sword/wrench/leg of some dude i shot to pieces 3 sec early'er)

    Hmm.
    • Blacklist = Awesome, Thought I really only play on lethal zone, but It's nice that I can block some really obnoxious servers If I happen to come across them
    • FaN = Meh, I don't really think it needed a nerf, I find it relatively easy to take out a FaN Scout as a Scattergun scout anyways.
    • DR = I like some elements of this update. I never felt the DR was broken, annoying sure but not broken. I like the less de-cloak sound, it makes it much easier to get through enemy lines without people on the moon hearing you as soon as you de-cloak :)
    • Sandman = I finally think this is perfectly balanced, especially with the release of the DH.

    Im glad that valve has gone this because the DR was really noob friendly, but for a good spy this update is a buff :D

    find the FaN update worked out nice... when shot in the back you fly to the front now (not stop dead in your tracks)

    Respectively I can't exploit that what Snelvuur said anymore, since a big Ammokit won't fully recharge my Dead Ringer no matter when I uncloak.

    The Dead Ringer now Reduces cloak to 40% when uncloaking early
    How much before the update?

    Has a 35% cap on the amount of cloak it can gain from an ammo pack
    When i understand this right, it regenerates 35% from 100%, so from the normal 100 Ammo Pack or from all(200 and these small)?

    Has a quieter de-cloak sound
    Sounds cool

    Need to try it out now.

    Well actually luck was right the declock doesnt drain any percent of your cloak bar.

    I love the option that shows me the damage done to enemies. It really helps me fine-tune the way I play some classes. The Heavy benefits the most from this for me; even if you don't kill anyone, a Heavy on defence seems to be pretty good at knocking of a good amount of health from all enemies in an attacking group so your team-mates can finish them off more easily.

    nice changes .

    Changed the Direct Hit to only minicrit enemies that have been launched into the air by an explosion.

    <3, it was rather stupid to get gibbed by a lucky crit just by jumping from a sniper :)

    Reduced the explosive damage resistance on the Chargin' Targe to 50%.

    Was needed, demo was too strong against explo dmg with the targe on.

    looks like they've nerved some of the solly vs demo content. The spy gets a few threats again, curious to see the change in classes on the server :)

    yeh that shield was indeed to overpowerd, that reduced fire damage doesnt matter anyway, when a little demo comes running at me when im pyro ill kick his ass for even DARING to come close to me... :badgrin:
