Someone from steamforums putted the Heavy situation in words quite nicely: "Just as a FYI: The Heavy's minigun has always done that much damage. The minigun did that much damage before heavy got his spin and spin-movement speed buffs. He did that much damage before we had hats. He did that much damage before we had unlocks. The only difference is that you used to kill him before he spun up or killed him when he couldn't retreat or dodge those rockets/grenades you shot at sniper range so you didn't see that monstrous DPS actually hit you very often. That is all." Heavy is far from balanced, (compared to Demoman or Soldier anyways) but I think he's getting there slowly.
how are you planning to do that? since the new update pyro's cant even get near to a heavy, or a medic, or a sniper, or a soldier, or a demo, or a engi, or a scout, i loved pyro before but now it freakin sucks! and it makes me sad that whats left of the burning is just a pathedic little flame that has the same effect as you burning your finger with matches
Pyro changes are pretty okay imo, less damage and more reliant on airblast/axtinguishing. You know, things that take some skill...
Sadly I don't have an axtinguisher. crafted accidently away during the release of that crafting system. it kind of sucks to play pyro, since only things I can rely on is the flamethrower and flaregun (or shottie) or my homewrecker...
it now has a balanced difrence with the BB imho but still the heavy is to OP now it was allready on the border from beeing OP before and now they shoved him over :roll: and the airblast i kinda don't like :s it's just like they automaticly burst when a rocket is comming so they should have kept the old cooldown rest is ok for me
I really never understood why the pyro's damage had to be nerfed... Look at how many counters there are for it: - Medkit - dispenser - charge & targe taking far less damage - Jarate - sandvich / Dalocohs bar - bonk delay (drink bonk to delay the damage and run to a solution) - pyro imunity for afterburn - Dead ringer - Jump in water - And even just IGNORE it cos it doesn't do much damage anymore. ppl just die from it cos they have so much choices they actually have to think whats easiest to get

now the bad thing comes, the whole point of pyro is that he doesnt have enough hp to go in head on combat, 2 rockets can kill him or 2 stickies... a scout can easily outrange him, a heavy can destroy the pyro in seconds if he just turns his way, a medic can outrange the pyro just a little and even if he is burning he can shoot the shit out of you with his bluthlauger and he can gain hp faster then you burn away the hp. a spy at mid long range can EASILY finish you of with that beauty of a revolver he has. if a lvl 3 sentry gun is not placed around a corner then you almost dont stand a chance (unless you can get very close and circle it). but otherwise you just get shot away and die. so... the only advantage the pyro DOES have is to just burn people and then evade them while they burn to death. now that advantage is completely gone and the fire duration only kills a few hp. so they took away the main purpose of the pyro and now the entire class freakin sucks!
Well, since the update it get killed a lot by reflected rockets, so I think you just have to change how you play the pyro. Like someone said: w+m2 is the new w+m1
oooow come ooooon!!!! why do this now ffs if this was sooner i allready crafted all the hats i wanted but hey allmost there 1 more reclaimed metal and i can FINALY craft me a demo hat... after that i'm going to start crafting them randomly heavy? anyone? xD that's the new w+m2+wait+m1 class haha backburner keeps it's normal damage imho they balanced out the backburner and the normal flametrower (before it was just crits from behind or airblast and the occasional nubcrit)
