I wonder how long it'll take them to fix it, since it is a major exploit. However, still waiting for a video of an engie building his sentry there in a full server. P.S. We've nearly reached 100 pages in this thread.
omg the engineer exploit is the worst hahaha i used the soldier/demo one to shoot sentry's during setup hahaha
And maybe update the group page on steam? a bunch of the servers named there doesn't work anymore (could not add them in my serverlist)? (had my serverlist empty again, so needed to add all the servers again)
Looks like some sort of head-crab. Wasn't there something like 'keeping the visual style consistent' ?...
TF2 is getting too much of a "playground" for small developers and user generated content. It might be interesting for Valve itself to generate info so they can integrate this in their new games. But I am missing that Team Fortress feeling more and more lately. It's getting a bit ridiculous with all those hats and weapons that don't fit the theme, and have strange effects. I am hoping the polycount update is decent, if not, I don't see myself playing TF2 any longer.
Item trading and a new game mode are ok, but twenty new weapons ! that's too much, i hope the gameplay will not be changed (as it happened with new weapons recently). Still, it's good to learn they still care about us !
I'm not sure, but weren't the weapons of the Polycount contest thought to not have different abilites? So just some new 'skins'?
seen some of the PC-weapons some look good but most of the things valve chose look weird (like the soldier  )
@Pim well, I think having weapons that are only skins, are just scrapable, it only will take in your space. I rather a real weapon with new attributes than that. I wonder what they've done with the weapons, since they were given more time than the normal stuff. P.S.: I feel a mmorpg-like WTS/WTB/WTT threads/ingame chat coming up.
Time to see how this works out then. Having 1 distinctively different weapon per class is enough, 2 weapons per slot in total. In the developer commentary they repeatedly stated they wanted the classes to have very distinct outlines so you could identify and adapt your strategy when you saw a class in the distance. With ~3 weapons per slot with different attributes, that's getting harder and harder. And some of the weapons are just skins, that's insanely hard to adapt to at a distance.
hope the demoman will get something usefull... cause i HATE demoknights :s they never protect the medic, they ALWAYS run off and the are so lame and useless against sentrynests
