I have only 1 reason for this deathmatch fest: 32playerinstarespawncritsonly2fartgoldbowlservers. New people don't understand the game if they cannot receive the vanilla experience. This is however very VERY underpopulated in servers.
pS. and L1nk!... are you brothers? friends in RL? or are you always just happen to have the excact same opinion? are you guys part of a bigger group that tries the make sure nobody will every buy TF2 anymore so everybody will become comp players all on there own steam group server(s) or in a war.... cause that is how you guys appear to me. always whining, always like omg this is noob, this sucks, stupid hitboxes, you're a noob, crit lucker, lame pubbers etc etc etc etc god, I liked you guys much more before you went making this forum section drown in your tears. I'm sincerely sorry if I hurt your feelings in any way (probably not) But I just hadn't to say this and with this ask nicely if the 2 of you would please become more positive. my moto: If things doens't go right? go left! =D
why did ye go right and posted that whining then, you almost start to sound like L1nk on a bad day anywho, tho i dont always share their view either, i'm glad to see the forum being so active lately and having them around, regardless of seeing some of the same ol discussions again these people, just like you, are part of our community, and do the effort of comming to the forum and sharing their taste, views and opinion's over the last month's Doelwit's en co been bustin their balls off trying to get Lethal Zone to be one of the more diverse communities around and so hopefully we'l get the best of both worlds and please both sides in the end it'l be a constant process tho so bare with us and do keep on speaking out
As far as I know we are not brothers, we might have met in RL altough I have only been to belgium once. Our only connection would be the fact that we are part of the competitive scene. We like this game the way it was meant to be, vanilla. We dislike crits because we think that the outcome of a fight should not be determind by luck, rather by intelligence and skill. We like TEAM fortress, not SOLO fortress, despite that is the way pub goes most of the time. And face it, the tf2 hitboxes are one of the worst. Not the hitboxes exactly, just the way Valve has this implemented this, what-the-player-sees-goes, way of playing. As far as I can remember I have refrained from calling anybody a noob/newb, I am deeply sorry if I did. In this game there are people that like randomness and people that dislike it. I for one like to evaluate why I died, what I could have done better. You and, sorry for a lack of better word, pubbers just play for fun. I am positive about the things that Valve changed, the Feb 2. update was a godsend, Valve has done so many things that I am positive about, and I understand that want to make money by "noobing" down the game. However this game had a perfect balance when it came out, bare the demo and pyro. With some unlockables I think that they are throwing that balance out of the window, I could rant about the Sandman and Flare Gun here. While others like the medic ones and natasha where great. I am sorry for this rant, or if I unsulted someone. And my motto would be: "Play Hard, Go Pro"
It's funny to me. You say that it had the perfect balance when the game came out and then again you agreed a couple of posts ago that the Demo was OP back then. (Okay maybe they changed something between beta and the actual release - I don't know) Then again there was also still the Sniper with the quickscope exploit and a ton of other stuff. (Fine - most of the exploits I'm thinking about will get you banned if you do it in competitive TF2) I also never heard someone complain about the Medic's new equipment. Quite the contrary actually - I've seen that the Kritzkrieg is used quite a lot in competitive games. The Blutsauger and the Ubersaw as well (even though they don't make a huge difference of course). The fact is that these constant updates and changes make Team Fortress 2 still interesting - at least for me. And it's logical that all those changes can't please anyone.
You said that the game had the perfect balance when it came out. And still you claim that the Demo back then was OP. I don't know about you but for me a perfect game doesn't really have any overpowered classes.
Spamoman had 6 pills back then, it got nerfed after beta. Pyro was underpowered. Most of this got fixed in the release.
lol, afraid to leave the netherlands?? can't count it anymore how many times i've been in the netherlands That's my motto 2!!!! i like your thinking mate
Aaaah yes teamplay. People are desperately in need of a medic when close to death, but couldn't care less keeping him alive. There are a few noble expections, mostly regulars. But I still get my satisfaction in supporting the team, by playing medic or engineer (which I think deserve a lot more credit and protection). TF2 is at it's finest when having a great team pulling off some amazing defence and offence combos. Scouts running away from a medic is one of the most annoying things btw.
Yea I totally agree with you guys, sometimes you're on a team having the feeling you just have to do it all alone.. I think it would be a great idea to only/mostly play with people we know and such. But how do you realise that. :?
