TF2 map cycle

    Yes, just noticed the same thing, since when does this happen, last time I played there wasn't a problem, #1 and #2 option were always different maps..

    well is the time goes late and more regulars come in it's going better.
    this night I've had badwater :arrow: gravelpit :arrow: well :arrow: and an other one I can't remember before a dustbowl again, and in that time we lost some players but almost directly got new ones in return.

    so it is possible... we just need a shitload of new regulars! everyone on that job and everything will be okay in no-time :D

    Regulars have a hand in which maps are played - the more rgeulars the larger the chance a different map will come up.

    yeah regulars ftw <3
    this afternoon we had Timmos and Jelle back us up spontaniously on n2 wich was being a real bitch to fill
    we played some silly "all engi" games and stuff and eventually got it up and running
    wish steam incorporated some sorta feedback system to show appreciation out to them

    Please please please please for all things loveable, squishy and holy. Please do something about the vote system for maps. Just kill it for >#$# sakes.

    Getting really annoyed with playing the same maps over and over.

    So please just for a week leave the server on normal full rotation. No votes, just the maps the server switches to.

    Man, I love the way it is now, if server 1 doesn't have playable map I just which to server 2 and if both maps get a "bad" map, i'l just have a break from tf2 and come back later. It's perfect now and I love it, Gj guys.

    Well has been added to option 1, hydro is out, cashworks is out too.
    Maps who were in 2 previous votes are excluded to appear in the new one.

    The whole reason to have a mapvote in the first place is to keep the servers filled.
    you'd be surprised how many of our regulars love to play goldbowl/badwater the whole time.
    But as we grow and gather more regulars, the variaty in maps will come.
    Our regulars just need to choose other maps and stay on the map if the server get's a bit emptier of that and keep continue to give us input on what maps are ''in'' and what are ''out''
    Problem with a mapcycle is that you will end up with a cycle whch has above mentioned maps since people complain about mapcyckes even more that a mapvote ^^ Only thing layers won't complain about is server3 since that's 1 map only :?

    Mapvote > mapcycle.

    So please bare with us and help us to make the vote as decent as possible at the time possible.

    I don't believe it! today in the morning we had 13 votes for well... and at the end of well we still had a full server :D

    is there anyway for a admin to not call a "mapvote" and just set there own nextmap ?

    If its on a saturday i can easilly put swift on it, nobody complains, and it still will be full..

    single mapvote and setting nextmap is always possible after the autovote has passed. Otherwise the already set nextmap will be overidden by the outcome of the vote.

    Ye, it's in the admin overlay somewhere, I think under 'server options'.

    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooes! if you're in the admin menu, press 4 (basic admin menu) and then set nextmap. I dunno if it still the same as when I started but then the choose nextmap just changed it directly :? so shocked I've never tried again :lol:

    Or type sm_setnextmap map in console.

    Had the same thing first time I wanted to set the next map, read the options more closely since then ;)
