You just gave me an idea to go medic and charge every sniper so they'd rocketme up onto the trees. We shall advance from bushman into treeman.
Now that we have Beta running in VSH, maybe we should discuss about other subjects than players and Hale. For example, the voting system. What should e change in that? F1 Some people already what I mean. Most of the time people are lazy and just hit F1 to skip the voting instead of actually looking for a good map, resulting to that we end up in a hated map. Like Party Island. Ew. My suggestion is to change the F1 to be the "Random" choice, so instead of selecting the first map on the list, the "voteskippers" as we call them, will have their vote on one of the other 4 options. For example, if I would hit F1 for "Random," my vote would be casted on either 2, 3, 4 (available maps) or 5(map extend). But making the random-option include ALL the maps would be very frustrating for those who actually vote. Imagine people seeing a map the really like, like Refinery and they vote for it, but "Nope!" Voteskippers vote for a random map and those who actually wanted a specific map will have to go by what the skippers vote. Anyone else got ideas like this?
Just make F1 a blank vote and the next map will be based on the actual votes made from f2 to f5. So if 10 people press F1 it means 10 votes wont matter, the remaining 13 votes used on f2, f3, f4 or f5 will be counted.
You only have F1 to F5, if you take away F1, and F5 (because that is extend) leaves you only with 3 options. Dont know if that is what you want and if its possible, i can take a look at it.
That's exactly what I wanted. Sorry if I didn't explain it too well, but anyway, if F1 would be the random option of the other 4/have F1 votes ignored, it would make people actually vote for a map, not just bash F1. BTW, while you're at it, could it be possible to decrease Hales range to compensate the lags? People are getting really tired of the disguised Namekians. Because we seriously need that, since today alone I saw almost 20 Engineers getting killed because of it (Engy uses SC on Hale, Hale does the punch, kills the Engy and raises his hands as a sign that he's stunned).
I have some completely unrelated (to the rest of this thread) ideas, PYRO -If a pyro manages to airblast an arrow from CBS and it hits him, it kills him instantly or at least does a lot of damage. -If a pyro can hit Hale 3 times in a row with The Postal Pummeler it teleports (Mail him) him to another location (maybe spawn) away from teammates. SNIPER -A sniper wearing the razorback survives 1 hit from Hale. SPY -Each time a spy shoots Hale with The Diamonback it adds the damage done to Hale as metal for nearby engineers. -A backstab with The Conniver's Kunai restores all nearby teammates' health. -A backstab with The Spy-cicle freezes Hale for 3 seconds but the spy loses his Spy-cicle (so he can't keep backstabbing Hale) -A spy can "sap" the Vagineer by holding the sapper against the Vagineer for 2 seconds, this freezes him for 5 seconds but the spy loses his sapper About the sapper and Spy-cicle, of course they regenerate after some time. HEAVY -If a heavy hits Hale with The Holiday Punch, it removes his ability to rage for a short period of time MEDIC -A medic can "anti-über" the Vagineer,he can target the Vagineer and lock his medigun on him (with a shorter anti-heal range), this decreases the length of the Vagineer's über but doesn't drain health. I know these ideas probably sound stupid, are very hard to put in the mode and are a bit overpowered but i just wanted to share them with you guys.
I wouldnt put in any of those suggestions. those would make players far too overpowered. freeze hale for 5 sec?? that's 6 backstabs there, 2 for each spy.... the airblasted arrow is aj acceptable idea though but it should take only 10%, like stabs. ok, it's really hard to pull out (only did it once and it wasn't even intantional) but if it sucks down 50% of cbs' hp, the round will be very short and unenjoyable.
Reflected arrows Chance to instakill CBS would make everyone wanna go as Pyro, and it would be far too overpowered, but dealing some extra damage, like 500 or 1000 dmg/reflected arrow would be better. Pummeler I actually find this idea rather interesting, but I don't think that making it is possible, because as far as I know, the occasions when Hale teleports to various locations, like at Oilrig or Aparture, it's done with the map itself, instead of a mod that allows Hale to tele when he takes damage from a certain source of damage or something like that. This would be a good addition for the Sniper, since most of the time he's pretty much just screwed if Hale get's close to him, except if the Sniper manages to make a quick getaway or his teammates help him out. Diamondback No. Just no. If the Engineer knows what to do he will get more than enough metal without Diamondback-Spy helping him. A better option would be to increase the amount of damage the Spy does with each shot that hits Hale, as in 1st shot that hits Hale deals the normal amount it's supposed to, but then the 2nd would deal a little more, and then 3rd shot again little more and so on, all the way up to double damage if the Spy scores 10 or 20 hits with Diamondback. Kunai Nice idea, but I still doubt that people would use the Kunai since it decreases Spy's health so much that Hale can one-hit him, with or without the Dead Ringer. Spy-cicle This might actually work... "Spy sappin' mah face!" This would give too much advantage to Spy, especially if the "freeze" lasts that long. + a Spy could then make up to 2, maybe 3 backstabs if the Vagineer is confused enough. A nice idea but it would still be very unpopular, since the Holiday Punch won't deal any damage at all (Holiday Punch crit = no dmg, and in VSH melee = crit, always) no-one bothers to use them. Even if someone would use them, they would still end up dead very quickly if the Holiday Punch would only disable the rage for a while. They're supposed to dissorientate Hale at the moment, but I don't think it helps one bit. In order to make that possible, someone would have to break the laws of TF2 in order to have a Medic from one team to heal Vagineer in the other team. I don't think this idea is possible no matter how much you tried, and even if it was possible, I still wouldn't wanna go anywhere near Vagineer if he has the uber on, and I would rather uber a teammate instead of draining Vagineers uber while he slaughters my teammates. All in all, even if some of your ideas aren't exactly.. suitable for VSH, some of them give some new ideas or are something that need some fine tuning. Good job.

Heres some of my Suggestions: Scunt: Sandman Taunt - maybe make it so if the tuant lands the hit on the boss it launchs him quiet far back, but maybe make the knockback only useable when not under the effect of the Bonk? Soldier: Black Box - Rather than 15 Health per hit, why not 35? and should be able to overheal to 275 maybe? Pyro: Mailbox weapon - like someone said, should mail him back to spawn or something... CBS Vs Pyro - Yesh, someone else said something about this, and i was lucky to Launch one of his Arrows Back at CBS, i think it was a headshot, maybe... but anyways, they, it should do more dmg... coz when i did it, i showed above CBS "-375" (yes, i do have that 'show Dmg' setting thingy on) i think it should do more... maybe like 500 - 1,000? Airbrusting - Yesh, we Do know pyros Akind abuse this, but it drains 1/10th of thier ammo, (unless your one of them BACKFAILER pyros... :evil: ) shouldn't there be a way to get ammo back without using dispensers or ammo boxes/kits/whatever thier called? Demoman/Demopan?/Demoknight: Shield Replacement - Right, as you know, demo's can still live from a hit from Hale/CBS/HHH/Vagi/Whatever boss, but when that happens, Boom, no shield and no sticky luncher, shouldn't that if we lose the shield, we get a custom sticky launcher? maybe like - +10% speed, -50% Max Ammo & Clip, +20% Dmg. Wee Booties/Bootlegger - got extra HP, but that ain't gonna really safe ya, unless your VERY lucky... so i think it should give a bit of extra Speed. maybe about +10% speed. Heavy/Hoovy: Family Business - i think it should have a bit more dmg, but less HP Gain, maybe about 10% less HP Gain. Sandvich - Gets replaced With Shotgun. Engi: Nothing. Medic(k): Medic Crossbow - yesh... i don't think medic's get alot of uber from each one hit... i mean 10% per arrow? you can get an uber with them needle guns within 3 secs if all them land on hale/whatever boss, i think it should gain like 30% uber per arrow. Sniper: Nothing. Spy: Spy-cicle - like someone said, should be able to Freeze the boss for amount of Time, regen after like 10 secs. DiamondBack - think someone said something like this, but - the more hits with the diamond back, the more dmg, but maybe like the combo Resets every re-load or two?
Hi, I have some Ideas for VSH SAME CLASS If you want to be for example scout, but you can't because 2 other people had chosen it so my idea is this: If you are scout for the first time and the round ends, you can't choose scout as a class anymore so other people can be scout. The same goes for the engineer, spy, etc,... ENGINEER: WRANGLER Every engi uses the eureka effect and people who doesn't has that uses the wrangler. I think if you use the wrangler you have to have something extra. If you hit on a building, instead of you putting 25 metal in it, you put 50 metal in it for faster building. SPY: SPY-CYCLE If you backstab Saxton with the Spy-cycle, He will freeze for 5 seconds but the spy looses his knife for 10 seconds (this idea came from Tomaz) HHH HHH must run really fast, like 2 times faster than the scout because on many maps the HHH is really bad because he can't jump and with the faster running will he be a little harder to kill. I hope anyone likes these ideas and thank you
No. Although I admit that having a limit on how much long can you be a certain class might sound good, I'm still afraid that restricting people like this will cause people to dislike the servers. My advice is to suck it up and wait for a slot to open, if you can play with the class you want, then GJ, but if the class is already full, tough luck. Again, no. This would allow the Engineers to build Sentry-nests right infront of their spawn before Hale could get there. Imagine and Engineer starting to build his stuff right outside his spawn, start building the Sentry, tele with Eureka, 4 hits on Sentry => upgrade, tele, then another 4 hits and bam, he's done with the Sentry, after that he can change the Wrangler to Short Circuit and then he can just wait for Hale. Also, clever Engineers already use the Wrangler to their advantage thanks to the homing missiles, they can just aim at the sky and spam M2 to find Hale and show his teammates where Hale is (this is the part where you should think about maps like Crevice). The 3 second freeze Tomaz suggested was already good, 5 seconds just seems a little too much. Granted, HHH is a poor boss in certain/most situations, but giving him THAT great speed won't be good, because A) some people might not be able to control that high speeds, and in smaller maps or just certain places like inside buildings maneuvering him would be difficult. B)Have you noticed how it sometimes looks like HHH or any other boss can kill his enemy from a great distance with melee? That's because of the game mechanics and lags. Since TF2 wasn't designed to work with such high speeds, it causes the mechanics to bug and look like even Hale just punched a Scout to death from 3 meters. Now imagine HHH with twice the speed of a Scout, technically he could kill someone from about 6 meters! Personally I would suggest giving him damage resistance, because unlike every other boss, be can't just jump away from a horde of übered enemies, no, he can just run if he doesn't have the tele ready. You got good ideas, I give you that, but I feel like they just wouldn't work or they'd be disliked...
