These two good games on a good discount: And this masterpiece which i couldn't get to buy for a long time since this remastered version came out:
Just bought a boxset of books containing the Hobbit and LOTR trilogy, I tried reading them when I was younger and got bored.
I quit the Lotr trilogy when I was younger, too. If my memory serves me right, I thought it had too much of "and the gentle hills were green, and through the grass you could see the sun rising".
Sony Xperia Tablet S I got a bursary to spend in a store on campus at my University, so I thought why not. Me and my mate bought the last 2
Yup, people always say "How come they can make 3 films from one book and 3 films from 3 books". Well the LOTRs has so much waffle and crap you don't have to explain in a film, because it's visual.
And because they actually cover much much more than just the Hobbit. In the Hobbit Tolkien mentions a lot of things, for example that Gandalf leaves the company for a while. The book doesn't cover what he goes off doing, but Tolkien does tell this in later books he wrote, PJ and the crew decided to implement these stories into the Hobbit because they were happening in that time span on Middle Earth. Oh and ofc the left out half the LOTR content in the films.
I read the hobbit when I was young. And that's what the book is meant for also. It's nowhere near the style of LOTR because it was meant as a book for teenagers, or at least as one that is easier to read. Still a very enjoyable book, but comparing it to the actual lord of the rings is kinda tricky I'd say. Making 3 movies of that book is money making. Eh.
New MP3 player. Haven't had one in a long while, but my mobile phone's battery sucks too much to be functional as an mp3 player and these things aren't as expensive as they used to be.
As half a b-day present (the other half i payed myself) i grabbed myself a Nikon 1 J2 this thing is superb! it needs almost no light to make really bright pictures, it came with a 10-30 mm lens so you can zoom in a little but after some tries it seems that it doesn't go that far. So i'll probably upgrade it with an 80-100mm lens. I haven't been able to make many (good) photos but i like this one pretty much ^^
